Abstract

This article was based on statistics that allow us to know the situation of femicide in the country, the causes and what results from this act, and the impact produced on Ecuadorian society and the laws that sanction it. The population made up of women is the most vulnerable percentage when men believe they have superiority and exert force on them, even killing them. This research was carried out in 196 citizens of the city of Riobamba in the province of Chimborazo, for which the questionnaire "Femicide and its social and psychological impact" was used as an instrument. it is negative since it generates insecurity and psychologically causes fear.
