Evolutionary theory, technological revolution, and techno-economic paradigm: a look at the innovation economy.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the contributions of Carlota Pérez to the economy of innovation from the perspective of the neo-Schumpeterian current. Carlota Pérez maintains the importance of the analysis of technological revolutions, techno-economic paradigms and their role in the succession of long waves of economic development, associating Schumpeter's ideas with Kondrátiev's explanation of business cycles. A documentary review and interpretive method were used.
