Freedom of expression as a public service in Ecuador.
Abstract
The topic addresses rights and freedoms, particularly freedom of expression, which is based on seeking, receiving, producing, and disseminating information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of borders and by any form and means without prior censorship and with subsequent responsibility. Unfortunately, in Ecuador, violating all rights, an attempt was made to present it as a public service, so the special rapporteur for freedom of expression of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights expressed its concern about the issue of the right to freedom of expression as a public service, which the State assumes exorbitant powers of regulation on the exercise of the fundamental right to express oneself freely through the means that each person chooses to do so.
