Justice as the superior virtue of law guarantees social peace and well-being. This work has been developed with the purpose of examining the process of selecting judges, from the perspective of the nominating body and the values of those chosen, through a descriptive research with a qualitative approach, and a cross-sectional approach, it was obtained that those who elect the judges are appointed by a certain government; therefore, it is very difficult to guarantee an election free of interference, even this same entity will control its functions, with which judicial independence carries a great risk.
