Abstract

None of the health systems had a pre-established roadmap to handle the situation generated by the coronavirus, which has generated loss of resources, and among them, those caused by the absence from work of health personnel. The work aims to: Determine the costs of absence from work due to COVID-19 in workers of the San Pedro de Huaca Health District, Tulcán, in 2020, through the application of the Heirinch Method in an observational, descriptive, cross-sectional or cross-sectional study. prevalence, with a non-probability sampling. As a result, 145 workers were isolated for COVID-19 for a total of 2312 days, thus generating a direct cost for the Institution of $ 98,097.14 for absence from work.
