The supply chain through cooperatives: social perception in Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas.
Abstract
A supply chain is the set of activities, instruments and indispensable means used from the creation of a product or service to its use or consumption, and its proper management determines the success of economic activities. Solidarity economy organizations dedicated to production, marketing and consumption are far from coordinating joint actions to achieve development based on the integration of their processes. The research gathers experiences of several solidarity economy organizations in which a marked individualism can be distinguished, which has not allowed them to strengthen and grow. The results show the lack of a more inclusive associativity, which is what is lacking in solidarity economy organizations.
