Improvement proposal for the management of driving practices in the Professional Drivers Union of the city of Babahoyo.

Abstract

In Ecuador, the number of traffic accidents increases annually, most of them caused by human factors, which can be preventable. In this context, the training activity of the Professional Drivers Union of the city of Babahoyo, which currently prepares a large number of students who aspire to obtain a professional license, acquires notorious importance; however, there are deficiencies in the management of driving practices that affect its effectiveness. The article presents the results of the research carried out to respond to the defined problem. The interpretation and analysis of these data, with the use of techniques such as PEST analysis and AHP Saaty, made it possible to identify and prioritize the fundamental criteria for decision-making. In the propositive part, it is proposed to develop a web application, aimed at improving the management of driving practices in the aforementioned Union, with free software technology.
