Abstract

Oral traditions are cultural elements that have no material content, and their depositary is the human mind and the body as its element of representation. The research aims to collect information from cultural managers to maintain in time the intangible culture of the oral traditions of the city of Otavalo in a digital magazine. Elements of intangible cultural heritage, oral traditions, valuation and importance in society and cultural tourism were investigated, the type of descriptive research was applied, interviews with people who have knowledge in oral tradition stories through the linear snowball method, the digital magazine that collects the oral traditions will contribute in the tourism development of this millenary town.
