Reduction of osteoporosis complications in older adults, Marcelo Santa Maria Association, Carchi, 2020.
Abstract
To develop preventive strategies to reduce the complications of osteoporosis in older adults, a qualitative-quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive, correlational, action, field and bibliographic research was carried out. The sample used was of 56 older adults to whom a collection technique was applied, using the survey, and the main results were that 52% of the population is between 65 - 70 years old, and this group suffers from arthritis with 41 %. Another important data regarding the habits of older adults was the consumption of alcohol (18%), the consumption of cigarettes (30%), and coffee (39%); With regard to physical activity, 52% do not do it. Diseases that constitute a latent problem.
