Implications of the oral microbiota in the health of the digestive system.
Abstract
Human microbiomes are critical to health. Oral and intestinal microbiota are the most abundant and diverse, with a demonstrated influence on the pathogenesis of chronic noncommunicable digestive diseases related to dysbiosis. The objective of the work is to: Update oral microbiota implications with the health of the Digestive System, specifying in the results the relationship between oral and intestinal microbiota. Recent advances that link the oral-intestinal microbiota, the impact on health and intestinal diseases, the role of eubiosis and oral-intestinal microbiota dysbiosis, the value of oral health, the promotion-prevention measures in oral cavity health and the relationships with the digestive system.
