The care of patients with HIV - AIDS at the Divina Providencia Hospital in Esmeraldas.

Abstract

The objective of the study was to diagnose the current situation regarding the care of patients with HIV / AIDS at the Hospital Divina Providencia Esmeraldas. A qualitative-quantitative, bibliographic, descriptive and field study was carried out with the survey technique. The research included 100% of the population, 40 people from the health team. The main results are that 73% of the population have not received training on HIV / AIDS, 75% have an average level of patient care, and 65% do not keep the confidentiality of the patient's test. It is concluded that the entire health team of the institution must take actions that promote permanent training and good practices in health care.
