Initial management and treatment of ischemic stroke. A future vision.
Abstract
Acute ischemic stroke is a time-dependent disease with great impact on Public Health in Ecuador and in the rest of the world; We address its management, first, clarifying the steps that must be taken from the initial moment of the event until the patient reaches the hospital environment. In this work we find data on the treatment of ischemic stroke with its importance and controversy in the scientific community, and the times in which one treatment or another can be administered. A review is made of the different stages of involvement of health personnel who care for these patients, including the existence of protocols, evaluation of vital signs, and application of scale, among other topics.
