Abstract

The objective of this article was to carry out a comparative analysis of the investigative skills manifested by graduate students in Education of an academic unit of public support and an academic unit of private support in the South of the State of Sonora. The research was developed in the quantitative paradigm, with a descriptive-transversal design, not experimental. The research skills and competencies assessment instruments and the research skills test were applied to a total of 40 participating teachers divided into two groups. SPSS version 25 was used for data analysis. Among the main findings, the ability to assess information and the competence to communicate results in writing are highlighted where the student body perceives themselves to be mostly competent.
