Educational management, discipline with its own characteristics.
Abstract
The article is a theoretical review that aims to show the characteristics found to be typical of educational management. The historical-contextual scenarios that gave rise to its study in the United States and Spain are shown, and that allow its proliferation in Latin America, and later in Mexico, as a leverage tool to evaluate and improve educational quality. The state-of-the-art construction methodology was based on the development of the heuristic, hermeneutical and holistic phases. It is concluded that educational management is not separate from administration but is an element adapted to the time in which we live and that demands the improvement of educational services.
