The Educational Model based on Competencies: key factor in Higher Education of the Polytechnic Universities of Mexico.

Abstract

At present, one of the challenges faced by Polytechnic Universities is to have learning spaces that guarantee the adoption of skills demanded by the labor market; For this reason, the use of Virtual Learning Environments, emerges as a key tool for the development of technical and generic skills, in addition to promoting collaborative work in the construction of knowledge, where it is necessary to highlight the importance of the actors involved (senior management , teachers and students). The present work directs its attention to these aspects of interest for a better attention to the processes that are developed in them.
