Abstract

This work makes a critical description of the Spanish Educational Action abroad both from a formal aspect and from an evolutionary point of view, analyzing the existing data from the 2004-05 to 2014-15 academic years. Its results indicate that beyond an interest in making Spanish culture known, the real meaning of maintaining investment in this type of educational action seems to come from the economic interests that the expansion of the Spanish language may report to the state.
