Inequity and inequality; bases for a new educational proposal in Peru.

Abstract

Peruvian education was historically elitist, exclusive and isolated from the sociocultural context. The sequel to poor school performance and low budget are some of its characteristics. It seeks to provide theoretical background related to inequality and inequality in education in Peru, in order to lay the foundations that enable a new educational proposal in this country. A bibliographic review and analysis was used, using primary and secondary documentary sources (printed and electronic). For the registration and collection of information, textual files and storage units were used. It is concluded, that education in the analyzed country, in its historical legacy, shows a low commitment by the people, causing the marginalization and delay of national education.
