Suitability of the protection action against dismissal of public servants from the municipal Gad of Machala in 2020.

Abstract

During the year 2020, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the crisis that our country is going through, there have been countless job terminations in our Canton Machala, being essential to analyze if the protection action is the ideal means to guarantee rights of public servants who have been dismissed from their jobs. The protection action is an attractive and peculiar constitutional and legal tool of the Ecuadorian legal system; therefore, the present work is oriented to the study of this action, in order to establish its nature and determine if this is a viable mechanism for the protection of the rights of public servants who have been separated from their jobs.
