Crime: a reflection of society?

Abstract

This article explains the role of the punitive power of the State, the effects of a warlike and violent society with respect to those who come into conflict with the law and the institutional crisis of the country that causes anxiety and intolerance. The citizen - offender comes into conflict with the law and the designed criminal procedure system generates more doubts than certainty about its effectiveness. From the power, the economically excluded are criminalized, who in extreme poverty are prone to fall into drug trafficking networks, organized crime, corruption and in practice they are deprived of their freedom, being also victims of systematic elimination and atrocious inside the Social Rehabilitation centers.
