Equality and feminism.
Abstract
The structural inequality of the sexes is an issue that feminism began to question decades ago, and this constitutes a sufficient justification to analyze the relationship between equality and feminism, which defines the importance of the issue. The objective is to identify the development of feminist theories and their claims of equality between the sexes, for which a rigorous bibliographic review of these theories was made, as well as of the notions of equality. Among the main findings is the creation of gender studies to distort from science the social constructs that harm women. It is concluded that feminism is an ideology that advocates equality between the sexes.
