Abstract

The objective was to describe the behavior of the cognitive profiles of adolescents with high intellectual abilities, based on the analysis of intellectual abilities and creativity, in a preparatory school in Morelos. The sample consisted of 103 students from the first semester. The techniques used were Raven's Progressive Matrices Test; EFAI and PIC-J (to evaluate intellectual abilities and creativity). The main results were high development of verbal intelligence, and spatial skills contributed to the fairly high level of non-verbal intelligence as well. The development of graphic creative potential was highlighted. Narrative creativity was a relevant area of opportunity. The cognitive exploration of the students confirmed that it is a very diverse group, with the presence of profiles of heterogeneous potentialities.
