Abstract

The article makes a tour of the theoretical-methodological foundations that characterize the writing of Simplified Chinese as a foreign language, and mainly, in English-speaking children of preschool age from 4 to 6 years old and its characterization in the Australian context. It delves into essential aspects such as origin, characterization, categorization, and composition of the basic and compound characters that determine this language, which will offer a vision to conceive a didactic strategy proposal for the teaching-learning of simplified Chinese writing in subjects and context mentioned, which is part of her thesis of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences at the Center for Studies for Educational Quality and Scientific Research in Toluca, State of Mexico, Mexico.
