Abstract
Education constitutes an important process for the development of the personality, hence the imperative to perfect it based on individual and social development. In the proposal, a theoretical conception of the treatment of local and regional history in the first cycle of General Secondary Education in Angola is socialized, which responds to the inadequacies in the formation and development of local and regional historical content, which limit development sustainable. Consequently, as part of the improvement of the Angolan educational system, the relationship between local and regional content as protagonists and sources of sustainable development is validated, which enable and guarantee the developer approach of historical content and facilitate historical-social education and development. sustainable.
