Abstract
This article shows the analysis of the practice of the game of online chess, as a useful and beneficial alternative, to reduce stress levels, in the fifth grade students of the secondary level of the John F. Kennedy Public Educational Institution of Ica , Peru, taking into account the home confinement they currently live, due to the health problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has been affecting the world population since the beginning of 2020.
