Abstract

The social-emotional sphere in the training of students and its impact on the training path and their subsequent professional-work performance, is considered necessary to deploy observational lines of soft skills in university populations. In accordance with the above, this work is oriented towards the study of the profile of social skills (HHSS) in 532 first-year students of the University of the Common Core in Social Sciences of the Faculty of Human Sciences, with the main purpose of establishing the relationship that keeps the functioning of said skills with academic performance and the predictive factor that the HHSS have on student performance and a successful intervention in the detection of needs in timely attention.
