Abstract

Teachers of Mathematics and Primary Education must have sufficient command of the curricular contents of Basic Education, based on the development of their own capacities. The level of development of probabilistic thinking of the students of these specialties was investigated, to explain in terms of the capacities of this thinking the achievement of competence, if it solves data management problems and uncertainty, proposed by the National Curriculum of Basic Education, in direct correspondence with the domain of the contents of the subjects of the teacher training, related to said competence; domain that optimizes the mathematical knowledge of their pedagogical practice, finding that on average, the level of development of students' probabilistic thinking is deficient.
