Learning strategies of vocabulary and lexical knowledge in English students at a National University.

Abstract

The present research aimed to establish the relationship between vocabulary learning and lexical knowledge. Its design is non-experimental, correlational cut, cross-sectional type. The instruments used for data collection were the Vocabulary Learning Strategies Scale, whose reliability in CromBach's alpha was 0.9403 and the Receptive Lexical Knowledge Test, whose reliability in Kuder Richarson was 0.7528. The results show that the relationship between the variables studied is high positive. It is concluded that the relationship is direct and significant between vocabulary learning strategies and lexical knowledge in English - French students from the National University of Education, with p <0.05 and Rho = 0.851.
