Importance of educational strategies on the knowledge of flora and fauna, promoting environmental care at the Enrique Guzmán y Valle National University of Education.

Abstract

Adequate knowledge of the ecosystem and the environment offers the possibility of drawing strategies for its adequate care. The awareness of the population with the environmental problem worldwide, demands the execution of conservation and preservation actions by the inhabitants who live in the different social settings. This research project set out to describe the main species of flora and fauna on the campus of the University "Enrique Guzmán y Valle" and to evaluate the effectiveness of the strategies outlined by the university to encourage students to become aware of the importance of caring for the environment. For which surveys were conducted on a sample made up of 45 professors and 15 members of the board of directors of said university. The results were processed using the Iadov method and the Analityc Hierarchy Process.
