Characteristics of cyberbullying in school adolescents.
Abstract
Cyberbullying is a type of virtual violence that in physical reality can have a negative impact on a socio-emotional and psychological level, mainly affecting adolescents in school. A quantitative, cross-sectional and descriptive study was carried out in a population of 643 students between 11 and 19 years of age from the Mexican southeast, with the objective of characterizing cyberbullying in the participants. The Cyberbullying Questionnaire was applied and it was obtained that 18% of the adolescents were harassed by some social network, while 7.8% declared themselves the perpetrator in the last two months. Feeling bad, sad, and angry are the most common reactions you experience as a victim.
