Parental skills in sex education and prevention of child sexual abuse in times of pandemic.
Abstract
The objective of the research was to identify parental competencies in sexual education and prevention of child sexual abuse in children aged 7 and 12 in the Villa el Ángel and Villa el Carmen Independencia Human Settlement, Lima, Peru. A quantitative approach was applied with a descriptive scope, and a non-experimental design. The survey was used in a sample made up of 210 parents. The results in Sex Education show that 78% of parents are at a low level, 14% are at a medium level and 8% are at a high level; Likewise, in Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse, 83% a low level, 11% a medium level and 6% a high level.
