Abstract

Line 2 of the Lima Metro is an underground system with 35 stations that will link the districts of Ate and Callao in 45 minutes. The objective of the study is to demonstrate the impact on business growth with the construction of Line 2 of the Lima Metro. As a qualitative research, the way in which the phenomena surrounding the project are perceived and experienced, which will transport more than 1 million inhabitants per day in 45 minutes, was examined. It was concluded that it will contribute to vehicle decongestion and caring for the environment, benefiting the socioeconomic development of the Santa Anita and Ate districts, and business activity.
