Abstract

The purpose of the research was to present and demonstrate the operation of a prototype of an early warning system with Zigbee technology, as a support in the prevention of disasters caused by huaicos in the city of Chosica. A technological study was developed, and the method used was the scientific method. Observation was used as a technique and the observation sheet as a data collection instrument adapted to each module. Of the most important tests performed, more than 90% of the results came to be positive or correct. From the data obtained, it can be affirmed that the early warning system prototype with Zigbee technology contributes significantly to the prevention of disasters caused by huaicos.
