Abstract

The purpose is to Design, build and evaluate the operation of a prototype to develop new technologies in risk management, Determine emotional effects on the population and cognitive strategies to face floods, as well as Conduct educational training to achieve positive effects in strengthening characteristics resilient of the population. It is a quantitative, pre-experimental investigation, in which the Resilience Scale, the Scale of psychological sequelae of the floods and the Post-traumatic Growth Inventory were used as instruments. It is concluded that the presentation of the prototype to the inhabitants of Chosica and Santa Eulalia changed between the measurements before and after implementing the prototype and that the protection of vulnerable citizens from the risk of urban floods is significant.
