Habits and perceptions about Computer Security in university students belonging to generations Y, Z: A comparative study of two public universities in Mexico.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine what are the similarities and differences regarding the habits and perceptions of computer security of university students belonging to generations Y, Z. The study was carried out in two public universities. The research is quantitative-comparative and focused on students of the Information Technology career. For the analysis of the data, the Jamovi and SPSS version 24 programs were used. The results show that the students show significant differences, mainly in relation to the self-perception they have regarding their knowledge about computers, computer security, viruses, theft of identity, etc.
