Abstract

A documentary research study developed in three stages was carried out during the period from April 2020 to April 2021, within the framework of the health contingency of the COVID-19 pandemic. Obtaining, reviewing and analyzing accumulated theoretical knowledge on a specific topic is essential for understanding the variables involved in a social phenomenon; as well as the antecedents, solution proposals and development perspectives. Furthermore, the high rates of gender violence require special attention in order to understand its causes and consequences in order to prevent it. The information sources were made up of qualitative and quantitative approaches, and it was concluded by analyzing and integrating the results.
