Abstract

The stage of youth extends more and more in the life cycle. The present work tries to deepen in the emancipation of the nuclear family; phenomenon that implies financial independence and autonomy (psychosocial), and that is occurring more and more late. Young people face increasingly adverse economic conditions that translate into few opportunities, which became more evident after the crisis caused by COVID-19. Sustainable development raises the satisfaction of the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own. The incapacity of emancipation opens the reflection regarding the need to implement the paradigm of sustainability in today's societies.
