Mental health and the development of socio-emotional skills in times of the COVID-19 pandemic in upper secondary and higher level students.
Abstract
The objective of this research is to analyze how mental health is associated with socio-emotional skills in high school and university students as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic. The research is quantitative, the design is non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional, correlational. , the sample is made up of 408 high school students and 152 university students. The sampling is stratified by conglomerate, analyzing socio-emotional skills: mood, stress control, adaptability, interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. The results indicated that students with high health tend to develop these skills, whereas students with deterioration in health tend to present stress, anxiety and low mood.
