Syndrome Acquired by Academic Work before and after COVID-19: pitched battles in Technological High Schools.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to describe the work environment of four Technological Baccalaureate Centers (CBTs) located in the northern part of the State of Mexico before and during the pandemic; as well as the biopsychosocial status of teachers and counselors. The research is descriptive and interpretive, its mixed design was transformative sequential where the predominant part is qualitative, and the quantitative part is only supportive. Naturalistic observations, in-depth interviews and focus groups were carried out; as well as the scale of the Syndrome Acquired by Academic Work was applied. The results showed that institutional actors have pitched battles and very violent conflicts on a daily basis, that affect their biopsychosocial health status.
