Abstract

The coronavirus is a pandemic that affected the health, the family environment, and the academic performance of students. Cases of depression, anxiety, stress, and family losses affected the mental health of young people and reduced motivation and interest in their studies. As English teachers and through the use of innovative applications such as Podcasting, Forums, Canva, Kahoo, Flipgrid, Genially, Wakelet, Nearpod, etc., we redirect learning English as a dynamic alternative to improve their lifestyles. The research was applied as a determining sample to 248 third-year high school students from the "Amarilis Fuentes Alcívar" Educational Unit in the city of Guayaquil-Ecuador. Qualitative and quantitative methods were applied with the survey as a research instrument.
