Abstract
The research methodology used in this study is descriptive with a qualitative methodological design that allows the application of techniques and resources to collect data on the previous and current reality of the problem around the conflict of interest in public administration. The objective of this research is to analyze the conflict of interest as a legal institution necessary to incorporate it into the Ecuadorian legal system within the framework of a specific law that regulates the actions of public administration officials and servers. Finally, it can be concluded that the results of the investigation show the need to implement a specific and codified regulatory framework that includes a series of scattered norms in the national legal system.
