This research is a descriptive and differentiated study, emphasizing the epidemiological characteristics of dental caries in children as a way to provide elements that contribute to health education in children. The tests were carried out with medical records and investigations to classify them as descriptive, with the purpose of identifying the risk factors of dental caries in the first permanent molar in children, and it was found that children present an important dental problem: the high incidence of dental caries in the first teeth in children aged 7 years, since about 9 out of 10 children had dental caries.
