Abstract

The importance of dental health education in adolescents is highlighted given the increase in dental wear. The frequency of going to a consultation due to discomfort in the teeth, and for the most part, for an aesthetic issue, dental wear can occur in severe and moderate degrees; This is currently due to food, such as the intake of acids, carbonated drinks and also the effects of the force exerted by the toothbrush. In this research, the causes that can cause the loss of dental structure are related, as well as the possibilities of preventing it through education. The methodology applied in this work was cross-sectional and descriptive, with a bibliographic review of different research sources.
