Abstract

The results of the study reveal the need to prepare drug addicts in rehabilitation to improve oral care due to the risk of infectious processes, loss of dental organs, decrease in all functions, and therefore, the deterioration of their quality of life. A descriptive investigation was carried out with 20 individuals confined in the "Funcriss" Santo Domingo rehabilitation foundation, a survey and an information collection instrument. The average age of the patients was 32 years, the most consumed drug in the rehabilitation center was marijuana, and with respect to oral health, the predominance of caries and periodontal diseases was revealed.
