Education on the incidence of Idiopathic Scoliosis in adolescents aged 12 to 15 years.
Abstract
Scoliosis can be defined as lateral curvature of the spine with rotation of the vertebrae within it, and it occurs in more than 80% of cases and is more frequent in women. The severity of this is classified, according to the radiographic measurement in Cobb degrees; thus, 20° is mild, 80 or more is severe. The objective of this study is to know the incidence of Scoliosis in adolescents aged 12 to 15 years of the Technical Secondary School No. 2 evening shift, using three detection techniques: Trunk Appearance Perception Scale (TAPS), Adams Test, and Scoliosis Research Society test.
