Training needs of the dentist to face the challenges of COVID-19.

Abstract

The disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus was first reported in the city of Wuhan-China, which is currently known as COVID-19. This terrible disease directly attacks the respiratory system. As a result of this condition, a pandemic originated that spread rapidly throughout the world, bringing with it a break in the workplace with repercussions in the area of dentistry. Aspects from which new training needs emerge for the dentist for his new professional role, based on the urgency of adopting new biosafety guidelines to preserve the health of healthcare personnel and patients.
