Abstract

The purpose of this work was to delve into a procedure to improve research in the area of orthodontics, and in this case, to analyze the similarity in the measurement of the angles of the panoramic and lateral skull radiographs. The gonial angle can be measured in panoramic radiography, where the right and left are measured individually, reducing the risk of error, since there is no overlapping of images as in a lateral view of the skull. The sample is made up of 120 radiographs divided into 3 groups of 40 panoramic and lateral, so it is concluded that there are no statistically significant differences between the measurements of the angles taken in the panoramic and lateral views of the patients' skull.
