Abstract

The research provides elements for greater vigilance on Brucellosis, which is a transmissible disease between vertebrate animals and humans, being identified as a re-emerging zoonosis caused by several species of Brucella spp. It is worth mentioning that human-to-human transmission is not as frequent, but congenital, sexual and human milk transmissions to children have been reported. Through the descriptive bibliographic review, based on the medically relevant scientific articles reviewed in the Scopus, The Cochrane, Web of Science (WoS), PubMed, Library and Embase databases up to January 2022, the need for that public health policy pay more attention to this potential and real problem.
