Social representations of vasectomy: A look from the structural approach.
Abstract
The objective of this work is to Determine the central nucleus and the peripheral system of the social representations of vasectomy in university nursing students. The structural approach method of social representations was used and as results we present that the figurative core of the social representation of vasectomy was determined, having masculinity as the central concept, followed by the concepts of loss of sexual desire, fear and pleasure. The peripheral system of representation is made up of the concepts of helplessness, depression, anxiety, responsibility, gender and stability.
