Abstract

The purpose of this investigative work is to evaluate the psychological effects in geriatric patients during the current pandemic caused by COVID-19, to clarify the link between comorbidities and the clinical severity of this disease, which generates implications for society. Although the devastating effect that this pandemic has been causing such as the manifestation and progression of the disease, the government's political opinion on health in each country focuses mainly on social distancing and quarantine of the population, and as a result of these implemented regulations, the psychological effects that occur in society, both at a personal and collective level, are evident and more so in the elderly population.
