Abstract

One of the most common diseases in the world is osteoarthritis, which causes pain and decreases the quality of life. Currently, there are some therapies that can be effective, sometimes surgery becomes necessary in advanced cases. The research was carried out through randomized clinical trials, retrospective studies, and cohort studies, as well as meta-analyses and review articles. Some of these studies revealed that stem cell treatment is safe and effective in relieving joint pain and may even prevent surgery. It can be concluded that the use of stem cells to treat osteoarthritis is an effective and safe technique, although there are still many unanswered questions on this topic.
